Defeat Conditions Empty Defeat Conditions

Hey ,

Im trying to create a defeat condition for a unit spawn at a waypoint after a movie finishes playing. Because the units have no defined name and its not a object placed from object properities, i cant make the condition end . All i have at the start is the team name, and the units that spawn on that team , and i for the life of me cant figure out how to make the game end , for that team at the start and those spawned units..

since im entering the contest.. do i get any help ? lol

What? What do you need? What do you mean with a "defeat condition for a unit"? Do you mean you want the unit destroyed? Or something else? You post does not make much sence....

Explain it more and I may be able to help ya

Hey,

Basically a unit spawns at a waypoint at the start of a game, if that unit dies, i want the game to be over. I could do with object properities by placing a object down, such as a tank and giving it a name by saying IF unit "Tank1" dies, then show endgame and close. Because you can select the tank, and actually give it a name.

However , if im using a waypoint ,and a unit is spawning from it, i cant specify that unit to die if it gets killed, which leaves the game running.

Just spawn a NAMED unit atwaypoint? its as easy as that...

normaly if you want the game to end for a player you script:

*IF*
Unit/object is destroyed
*Then*
Player ??? is destroyed (dealing leathly damage to all units[that includes indestructable units too])

or maybe it starts off a cinematic scene which leads to the death of the player in-question.

You may also wish to time link a script that performs "Return to the menu" which ends the match without winners and show the team scores, it is after all a faster method in comparison to using the Alt-Tab windows feature to move back to desktop to kill C&C RA 3 process.

Im not quite sure what you mean by that slayer, can you show me a example ? The unit im using is a drop pod which spawns at start, will the game end once the drop pod disapears or will it end once the units inside it die ?

Here is what i have done :

*** IF ***
Camera enters area 'Start_Camera_Area'
*** THEN ***
Spawn Unit 'raider1' of type 'ZOCOMDropPod' on Team 'teamPlyrGDI' at waypoint Waypoint 'Deploy_Dropod'

*** IF ***
Unit 'raider1' has been destroyed.
*** THEN ***
Show 'Defeated' window and end game

What im after is for those the game to end if the raiders die before reaching the commando, then i dont want that condition to be truth. IF they dont reach the commando and die, the game should end. This is what im trying to make.

You guessed it, Ill continue working on it and ill eventually figure it out. Its not like this was the first challange to set me back. I appraite your help on this, and if any more solutions arise you think i should know about , im all ears Smile

The worldbuilders for ra3 and generals are very similar , ive been using the generals worldbuilder manual to help me a bit with kw and ive also taking a look at ra3 aswell. Theu are pretty much the same.

Download kw wb and see for your self. If they are identical , a manaual could be easily made since all the other wbs are the related.
