Map Downloader - By Me

Well I had an idea when i was looking on this site; that all of the maps are spread apart and i thought well i will fix that, so i started to make this. If you all from proWB agree with this i will carry on my work and then will carry on updating this as new maps come out.

Well to start with I will make it an app erm but if that is not really effective I could somehow make it into a format that will be embedded into your forum ect

also what i could do is, make another list of maps that by request i add peoples maps to so that they can be downloaded aswell and they would have to be of a reasonable standard of course

sure, if this is embedded and updatable, this could be a replacement for the large map achives, although we'd still need links to see what the maps are about.

by the way i have just found out that to embed this i would have to make an entirely different thing and i dont know that programmming language so it will have to be an application that has an automatic updater

for the moment and because you wanted information about your maps it will automatically link you to the place where you download the maps so for now tat is how it will operate, by the way elvens map list is now full functional.

Well So far there have been a few problems some major and other minor, intend to get these fixed asap!

1/ well nanteos' download links are dead therefore untill he fixes that i shall not add him to the downloader.
2/ some of the uploads do not have any information again i can fix that in due time i will make a popup thing for when you hover over it.
3/ a couple of maps i was not able to find dl links for so...

but all in all it is all working and i intend to carry this on.

I will co-op with you as best as I can.

is there any way that i can give it to those who i want to have it like you tibby, elven, and spider, because i just want you lot to see what it is like before i put the beta to the real thing.

Do you thing you could add tabs or some other method which opens the download link, opens the thread its on?

I maybe able to send you a icon for it too.

Do you mean organise the downloads into tabs,or do you mean open a tab that the download will start from?. But either way I could do both, it would just mean that I would have to re do the codes fir the downloads with a slight adjustment to the code. Please do not send this beta to every one just to the prowb members for. Now anything new will have to wait to tomorrow beforee I re think my design

The answer to that is a definate yes, but i dont think i am a good enough mapper.

well as for msn yes i do add me, im Tansey56@googlemail.com, but i dont think i can teach you anything because if i need a bit of help i will just google it, and i probably dont even use the same program as you, ( Microsoft Visual Basic ).
